Not sure what help you need? Here are some examples of how we’ve helped clients:
“I need a little help understanding my DNA results”
For those confused about their DNA result, doubting a test’s accuracy, wanting confirmation, or seeking a second opinion. We can address the results for customers of ancestry tests or paternity testing. Please come prepared with a copy of your paternity test results from DNA Diagnostics Center or from your ancestry test (AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, 23andMe, FamilyTree DNA, and/or GEDmatch).
Due to licensing restrictions, a review of DNA medical results is available only for residents of the U.S. state of Virginia.
“I want to get started but not sure where to begin”
These sessions help you understand how to get started on a DNA journey. Find out about the options for DNA testing and family search pathways to help identify one or more biological family members. Adoptees and donor-conceived individuals seeking the identity of their gamete donor and/or donor siblings have found these especially helpful. We focus on meeting you where you are with questions about DNA testing and ways to locate or identify genetic relatives.
“I need help getting ready to share a DNA surprise”
We offer specialized coaching support for those preparing to share about potentially shocking and upsetting DNA news. These services have been helpful to husbands and fathers preparing to share about a surprise child with their wife/partner and the family they have raised. Parents of donor-conceived children have also found these services helpful in preparing for conversations with their child about their history.
